Qu'est-ce (qui) est function modeling - définition

Integration Definition for Function Modeling; Integration DEFinition for Function Modeling (IDEF0)

Function model
STRUCTURED REPRESENTATION OF THE FUNCTIONS (ACTIVITIES, ACTIONS, PROCESSES, OPERATIONS) WITHIN THE MODELED SYSTEM OR SUBJECT AREA
Functional model; Function modeling; Activity model; ⎔
In systems engineering, software engineering, and computer science, a function model or functional model is a structured representation of the functions (activities, actions, operation]s) within the modeled [[system or subject area.FIPS Publication 183 released of IDEFØ December 1993 by the Computer Systems Laboratory of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Polynomial and rational function modeling
In statistical modeling (especially process modeling), polynomial functions and rational functions are sometimes used as an empirical technique for curve fitting.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
Scientific model; Scientific modeling; Scientific models; Model (science); Scientific Models; Applications of scientific modeling
Scientific modelling is a scientific activity, the aim of which is to make a particular part or feature of the world easier to understand, define, quantify, visualize, or simulate by referencing it to existing and usually commonly accepted knowledge. It requires selecting and identifying relevant aspects of a situation in the real world and then developing a model to replicate a system with those features.

IDEF0

IDEF0, a compound acronym ("Icam DEFinition for Function Modeling", where ICAM is an acronym for "Integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing"), is a function modeling methodology for describing manufacturing functions, which offers a functional modeling language for the analysis, development, reengineering and integration of information systems, business processes or software engineering analysis.

IDEF0 is part of the IDEF family of modeling languages in the field of software engineering, and is built on the functional modeling language Structured Analysis and Design Technique (SADT).
